Barcelona & Costa Brava: The Mediterranean Way

Our journey begins in Barcelona, where we’ll experience the city through its architecture, food and everyday life. Then we’ll leave the city behind and head north to Girona, discovering a different side of Catalonia along the way.

From Barcelona’s energy to Girona’s character, from the Mediterranean coast to medieval villages, this is a journey designed to experience the places, flavors and moments that make this part of Spain so special.

Two places, one journey — and a little bit of magic along the way.

Once you arrive at the hotel, you’ll have time to unpack, get comfortable and take a little break after your journey. You’ll also have the chance to meet the other women joining us for the week.

The rest of the afternoon is free to relax or take a first walk around the neighborhood before we meet for our welcome dinner, with a selection of small bites and a first taste of Barcelona.

It’s just the beginning!

Barcelona Through Architecture & Flavor

Barcelona Through Architecture & Flavor

We’ll start the day with a leisurely walk along Passeig de Gràcia and Rambla de Catalunya, surrounded by some of Barcelona’s most iconic Modernist architecture. From there, we’ll continue through Plaça Catalunya to La Boqueria, where we’ll take our time exploring the market and discovering some of the flavors and ingredients that are part of everyday life in Barcelona.

We’ll enjoy a tasting of some of the market’s most well-known products, from Jamón Serrano to other local specialties, before continuing into the streets of the Gothic Quarter.

After exploring the historic heart of the city, we’ll stop for lunch at one of my favorite tapas spots near the Gothic Quarter. It’s a place I love, and a chance for you to experience Barcelona through some of the food I enjoy most.

After lunch, you’ll have some time to relax and enjoy the afternoon at your own pace before we meet again for La Pedrera at sunset. We’ll take our time exploring Gaudí’s work and enjoy the city from the rooftop as the light starts to change.

The evening is yours to enjoy however you like. I’ll be happy to share some of my favorite dinner spots near the hotel, or suggest a few ideas if you’d like to take a walk and see a different side of Barcelona after dark.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, La Pedrera at Sunset.

Sagrada Familia, Gràcia & Sunset at Park Güell

We’ll start the day with a guided visit to Sagrada Família. We’ll take our time exploring Gaudí’s final masterpiece and discovering some of the ideas and details behind the building.

Afterwards, we’ll make our way to Gràcia for lunch at one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. We’ll share a few dishes, enjoy some good local food, and take our time over lunch before spending the afternoon exploring Gràcia.

Later, we’ll head to Park Güell for sunset. We’ll walk through the park, take in Gaudí’s work, and finish the day with some of the best views over Barcelona as the city starts to light up.

Included: Breakfast, lunch, guided visit to La Sagrada Família, Parque Güell.

We’ll spend the morning walking around El Born and discovering some of my favorite spots in the neighborhood.

We’ll then make our way back up on foot and stop for lunch.

After lunch, we’ll head back to the hotel to rest, pack our bags and get ready for the next part of our trip: Girona.

In the evening, we’ll have our farewell dinner in Barcelona at a very special place. One last evening together before we head off to our next destination.

Welcome to Girona

We’ll arrive in Girona and check into Casa Cacao, our hotel for the next few days. Casa Cacao is part of the Roca family’s culinary world — the family behind El Celler de Can Roca, twice named The World’s Best Restaurant.

After settling in and unpacking, we’ll enjoy a welcome brunch on the hotel’s rooftop terrace, with views over Girona’s Old Town. The brunch focuses on seasonal products and small producers from the area, making it a great way to start our time in Girona.

In the afternoon, we’ll explore Girona with an official guide and discover the history of the city, from its Roman origins and medieval streets to the Jewish Quarter and the cathedral.

After the tour, you’ll have some free time to wander around Girona, explore the shops or simply stop for a coffee and enjoy the city at your own pace.

The evening is free, and as always, I’ll share some of my favorite places for dinner.

Included: Breakfast, Brunch, private transportation to Girona, Private Guide in Girona

A Day in Cadaqués

A Day in Cadaqués

After breakfast, our private driver will pick us up at the hotel and take us to Cadaqués, one of the most beautiful coastal villages in Catalonia.

We’ll spend the day exploring the village and its waterfront before visiting the Salvador Dalí House-Museum in Portlligat, the home and studio where Dalí lived and worked for many years.

After the visit, we’ll enjoy lunch in Cadaqués with one of the dishes that feels made for this setting: paella by the Mediterranean Sea.

After lunch, you’ll have some free time to take a walk around Cadaqués, enjoy the views and simply take in the village before we head back to Girona.

Once we arrive, the rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to relax and enjoy some free time in Girona.

Included: Breakfast, Private transportation Cadaqués, Lunch

Dalí, Púbol & Medieval Villages

After breakfast, we’ll leave Girona and head to Gala Dalí Castle in Púbol, the castle Dalí gave to Gala and one of the places that tells us more about their life together.

From there, we’ll continue to Peratallada, one of the best-preserved medieval villages in the area. We’ll walk through its stone streets, take in the village and have some time to explore.

We’ll stop for lunch in Peratallada, with time to choose a restaurant and enjoy a relaxed meal before continuing our afternoon.

We’ll return to the city of Girona in the afternoon, leaving some time to rest or enjoy a last walk around the city.

In the evening, we’ll get together for our farewell dinner in Girona — our last dinner together before heading home the following day.
